All too often, when we just need to “get away from it all,” we travel somewhere, yet take it all with us. But nature offers some of the best respite there is, and many of us don’t have to go far to find it.
One such natural and welcoming place is Northlake Nature Center, a nature preserve located just east of Mandeville, Louisiana. Sitting on 400 acres of ancient pines and hardwood forest along Bayou Castine, the Center offers a variety of activities and events, for both children and adults, as well as a boardwalk and places to simply sit, listen and enjoy the beauty.
